<\/p>\nIt has been the second hottest Summer since they have recorded in history. The issue with this year is that Texas usually has a very high Spring rainy season, which didn’t happen this year.\u00a0 And our yard and flower beds have suffered greatly. We have been under water restrictions, and that hasn’t helped either. We have a sprinkler system, so we can program it to come on during the coolest part of the night. By coolest, I mean it may get down to the mid-80s during the July and August months. Lake Waco’s water level is way down, so far down that the water level pole isn’t even in the water at the swimming area.<\/p>\n
There are seven 100-year-old Pecan trees and one Oak-tree around the street perimeter of our cottage one of the Pecan trees is behind along the alley. They provide shade during the hottest part of the day.<\/p>\n

The other side of our cottage is our neighbor’s home’s driveway, and gets the morning sun. Her house is painted white and reflects the sun in the afternoon, which is very bright! The front gets the scorching sun, and the roses and the grass in this area have suffered. Praying it all comes back.<\/p>\n
